The idea for creating sculptures using Longhorns came from years of working with horns and developing a deep appreciation for the material. The colors and shapes are like nothing else found in nature. Each piece is created to focus purely and simply on the beauty of the horn. While sorting through the hundreds of horns that I work with each year I set aside the ones with the most beautiful, interesting, and unique colors and shapes and those are what are used for the sculptures.

Longhorns
I'm not sure how to describe this pair of Longhorns. Simply put, they are a mix of white and black, but it is a mix that only pictures can describe. I didn't want to mount them because I didn't want them hanging on a wall. They needed to be down where they could be touched, examined closely, where every inch could be seen. They deserved to stand alone. I have been working with horns for 12 years and never laid eyes on a pair like this.
The total height of the taller one is 22 3/4 inches, the shorter one is 21 1/2 inches. The base is 5 inches square.
