The idea for creating sculptures using Longhorns came from years of working with horns and developing a deep appreciation for the material. The colors and shapes are like nothing else found in nature. Each piece is created to focus purely and simply on the beauty of the horn. While sorting through the hundreds of horns that I work with each year I set aside the ones with the most beautiful, interesting, and unique colors and shapes and those are what are used for the sculptures.

The original Flor de Cuerno now hangs in a clients luxury suite at the Texas Memorial Stadium, University of Texas at Austin.
